The Engineering Environment SR1213
This course will introduce the student to terms, trends, critical
success factors and global competitive pressures which directly impact
customer's business strategies and buying decisions in the Engineering
Environment.
STUDENT PROFILE:
CSO sales reps, sales management, and PSO Consultants who actively sell
or support sales of workstations into the Engineering Environment.
PREREQUISITES:
SR126 Engineering Fundamentals
A score of 80% or better on the above Mastery Test represents
satisfactory completion.
STUDENT PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
Differentiate HP from the competition by demonstrating an understanding
of the most commonly discussed topics within engineering today and how
they impact the customer's Engineering Environment (break-even time,
concurrent engineering, quality functional deployment).
Build credibility within higher levels of their customer organization.
Recognize business goals, key issues, significant problems and
pressures of the Engineering Environment and the implication of those
issues.
List major trends affecting engineering business goals and strategies
for engineering management.
